Josh King is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter certified in music production and songwriting by Berklee College of Music. A full-time musician and instructor, Josh combines real-world industry experience with a strong educational foundation to help artists develop their sound and creative voice.

He is the bassist for the rising alt-rock band Modern Alibi, and his musical journey began early—growing up immersed in the Legend of Zelda soundtracks, where he developed a deep appreciation for intricate, expressive instrumentals. Those influences continue to shape his unique approach to songwriting and production today.

Josh’s style blends jazz fusion, R&B, and alternative rock, with a focus on musicality, groove, and emotional impact.

“Building an album out for the first time with Josh, the most satisfying part of the journey has been watching him take my voice memos of acoustic chord progressions and loose melodies and flesh them out into full bodies of music. His knowledge of which instruments are the most appropriate and effective for whatever the ideal sound is per song is high-level. Letting him take the reins and saying, ‘I like this sound here,’ and hearing it work so well is a great asset to our creative process together. I’ve known Josh for years, and although on paper I’m one part of his clientele as a producer, recording together hasn’t felt like work.”
